Properly seasoned Redwood does not shrink, warp, twist or swell. Its uniform cell structure provides surfaces that take and hold paint unusually well. Freedom from pitch makes Redwood slow burning — reduces the fire hazard whereever used.
The cost of Redwood compares favorably with that of other woods which cannot compare with Redwood in freedom from knots and other defects and in resistance to weathering or exposure to ground moisture.
